 
My 78-year-old mother who lives by herself in a small town in Iowa,
has developed some serious health problems over the last year. The symptoms have included chest pains, increasing loss of motor skills (i.e., difficulty walking, getting up from chairs, weakness), sense of imbalance, and heightened anxiety. Other than treat her for acid reflux in her esophagus--which has brought her little relief--the doctors in the area have not been able to figure out what is going on. We've waited two-months to get her into the world renowned Mayo Clinic for a thorough examination. We're hoping they can figure out what is going on and can help her.
